Testimonials

"We needed a way to reach out to the general consumer instead of the entire business as we do now. Learn.com provides us with that vehicle. Now we can offer job-specific courses that are mapped to desired skills and then use Skill Score® to directly measure and track the end user. We’re very excited because individuals will be able to prepare for NIMS [National Institute for Metalworking Skills] certification and CEUs [continuing education units] or just fill in basic shop skills with quality content."

"Before I was married, I worked as an Executive Assistant - a great position with reasonable hours, benefits, and good pay - a position many people would love to have. When Learn.com gave me the opportunity to try their online courses, I thought focusing on administration would be perfect because I know what’s needed for the position and could judge if the courses could help someone in the position. As soon as I signed up, I was immediately impressed with the range of skills.

I completed grammar and punctuation (I didn’t do so well on numbers and abbreviations - I only scored 46%) and Microsoft Office 2007 Fundamentals. The grammar course was an interactive slide show that taught then asked you to answer questions. I think it’s really help[ful] that you are able to take notes and print courses and the summary at the end of each course is very helpful in reviewing what you have learned. The Microsoft course was a more elaborate interactive video and even allowed you to review missed questions.

Whether you’re reentering the workforce and need to brush up on skills, looking for a new career path and are learning skills for the first time, or are hoping to snag a promotion - Learn.com offers a great selection of courses that are very thorough and informative. I was very impressed with the courses I interacted with and even learned a few things myself!"

"This is a very cool site! This is the kind of website you want to check out, you educators, parents, and students. Learn.com specializes in courses for learning new job skills or honing existing ones, so it’s suitable both for beginning or continuing education.

Learn.com also offers accredited courses from some very exclusive online degrees from The College Network, George Washington University, Boston University, eCornell, and others. Plus, there are the Learn.com courses themselves, which are extremely well done.

Obviously, some courses are more expensive than others. And Learn.com does offer some courses for free!!! This is a great way to check out the website and see their style. All the courses I saw were both useful (Learn.com has the largest library of online training courses), with courses in marketing, sales, nursing, etc; and some were even fun – everything from programming and web design to learning how to juggle!

I signed up for the 'Personal Skills' course of 'Receptionists and Information Clerks: Advanced Course.' It’s a very thorough roster of all the skills necessary for such a career. Learn.com has a unique kind of scoring system called the 'Skill Score' that employers can look at to see how well you did in the completed course (as a resume boost). This is a terrific concept!"

"The format is pretty straightforward, featuring both educational materials and assessments. What some of the training reminded me of was the programs I used to use at the temp agencies years back to master or be tested on software programs. Of course, the material here has a wider scope than office software, but the learn and test format is similar. What is 'value added' is that you can reveal your results to potential employers, and everything you can do to help you find the right job is worth the price tag. There are some measurable skills that are assessed that can truly help you prove that you know your stuff."

"I would recommend Learn.com to anyone looking to master skills needed to enter the job market. It would probably be useful to anyone who had been out of the job market for quite some time. The cost ranges from $20 to under $100 and gives you access to many resources to brush up on your grammar and/or math and give you the most recent information on Office products like Word and Excel. That price range and the availability to use the site at any time makes me think I will be highly recommending this site to anyone who is asking."
